'I'm the first to admit I don't like having my photo taken – the idea that there will be a record of how much I weighed and how old I have begun to look and how ill or how tired I am, is kind of scary – by why? 'It actually is what it is – we all change. 'Here is a photo of me on a day, just a random day I shot photos with a 50mill lens – this is how I looked on that day. Some day at some time in the future this photo may be valuable to someone for a myriad of reasons, most likely my children – it's not even a particularly good photo. It's a bit soft and a bit yick, but it reminds me of who I am and who I was and I am sure they will treasure it. 'I love to capture people how they are – how they were, on that day.'

Eve Jeffery is an outstanding photographer whose talent, professionalism and creative eye made my photo shoot not only a great success, but also an unexpectedly fun experience. As a person who definitely doesn't feel comfortable being photographed, I felt quite nervous before the shoot, but from the moment she arrived at my clinic, Eve made me feel completely at ease, creating a fun atmosphere that really helped me relax and be myself. Her attention to detail is incredible, and she captured beautiful elements of my clinic with warmth and an eye for style. Before the shoot, Eve advised me on what kind of clothing and colours would work well for me, and during the shoot, her clear communication and instructions about posture and facial expressions helped me feel confident, cared for and beautiful, really bringing out the best in me. I was thrilled with the final photos — beautifully composed, full of colour, and uniquely me. Eve is an all-round lovely human who brings her passion, warmth, and exceptional skill to every frame. I can’t recommend her highly enough. Working with her was a wonderful and heartwarming experience.

Even though she is more often found taking pictures for the stories she writes for the Byron Shire Echo, the Tree Faerie mostly likes to take photos of people; portraits of people doing the stuff they love to do.
The Tree Faerie's favourite pix to shoot are of anyone who is totally engrossed in doing their own thing their own way – she most likes to point her lens at performers.
'I love weddings and similar celebrations but I am not the type of photographer who takes 500 or 1,000 photos on these occasions. If you are after a few simple photos on your big day, then I might be what you are looking for.'
